Guitarist / composer Peter Einhorn's most recent recordings as a leader are "Live at the Bistro" (with George DeLeon), and "For Evans' Sake", both released in 2004. He is featured throughout Karl Berger's "StillPoint" with John Lindberg (N.Y. String Trio) which is internationally distributed on Sunny Moon records (2003). His playing and composing can be heard on Ira Sullivan's "Strings Attached", on Pausa Records. He was also awarded a "Meet The Composer" grant in 2003.
He has performed and / or recorded with Jim Hall, Plácido Domingo, Jimmy Cobb, Steve Swallow, David Amram, John Scofield, John Abercrombie, Steve Kuhn, Eddie Daniels, Ray Mantilla, Roland Hanna, Walter Booker and many others. He is also a regular performer with the Met (Metropolitan Opera) in NYC. Mr. Einhorn is the inventor and patent holder of the "Re-Tuning" guitar capo which has been recognized as a step forward in the evolution of the instrument. It is in final development at the D'Addario Corporation. Peter Einhorn is a graduate of the University of Miami jazz program and holds a Masters degree in Composition. He is an award winning composer who has scored dozens of films and whose work can be heard on radio, national T.V. and multimedia formats. Einhorn teaches jazz guitar, improvisation, and composition at Bard College and the National Guitar Workshop. He is a resident of Woodstock, N.Y.
