This guitar was built for guitar collector Keith Moore. Keith, who owns several Buscarinos as well as numerous flat tops and classicals made by various makers, came to John looking for something special to add to his collection.
John was lucky enough to get his hands on a rare and exotic piece of Tasmanian Black Acacia and decided to turn it into a one-of-a -kind Cabaret. To this wood John added a Cedar top to complement the color in the Black Acacia and to give a nice warm timbre to the sound of the instrument.
Keith loved the look of Snakewood with Acacia so John continued this motif throughout using a Snakewood headstock veneer, fingerboard, bridge, Oval soundhole Rosette and Tuner buttons. The guitar was bound with Curly Koa and stainless steel fret wire was used on the fingerboard.
